Birmingham to Edinburgh

Famed for its outstanding beauty, the historic Scottish capital of Edinburgh is perfect for a city break. You’ll arrive into the city after your relaxing megabus journey ready to explore the city and all it has to offer.

A top attraction in Edinburgh is its imposing castle which stands guard over the city. Impressive from the outside, venturing into the iconic building will allow you to see the Crown Jewels, exhibitions and military museums.

Venturing away from the castle you will come to the Royal Mile which runs to Holyrood Palace. Here you can find traditional Scottish gifts to bring back as souvenirs, offering everything from whiskey to tartan.

If you’re feeling active, you may be tempted to don your walking boots and hike up to Arthur’s Seat, where you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views of the city. Here you can also explore picturesque Holyrood Park, the Queen’s location of choice for her Scottish residence.

Edinburgh boasts numerous eateries offering everything from traditional fare right up to Michelin starred cuisine. Be sure to sample a wee dram of whiskey during your visit, and if you’re feeling brave, why not try the Scottish speciality of haggis.

Your Scottish adventure couldn’t be easier to plan. Cheap megabus tickets from Birmingham to Edinburgh are available by simply visiting megabus.com or picking up the phone. Benefits include a 20kg luggage allowance, air conditioned coaches and free Wi-Fi where possible.
