For journeys wholly within the UK and to/from Ireland, one child under 3 years, not occupying a seat can travel for free with one fare paying adult.

For all other journeys, all passengers including children and infants under 3 years must purchase a ticket.

Number of passengers travelling who hold Scottish Concessionary Entitlement Cards. Valid for concessionary travel for journeys wholly within Scotland.

Number of passengers travelling who hold NUS Extra cards. Valid for travel within UK only.

megabus.com has come a long way since its launch in 2003, and we are now proud to serve over 100 destinations in the UK and Mainland Europe. To make our increasingly long origin list easier to navigate we have added this new optional country filter. We hope you find this new feature helpful.
 

Travel Documents

 

For all passengers (including children and infants)

  • Passengers are responsible for ensuring they are compliant with all passport, visa, foreign currency, customs and health regulations etc..., and carry all required documentation and identification papers. This includes children having the necessary parental permission to travel.
  • Passengers must be prepared to present these documents to a megabus.com company official when requested to do and will be refused travel if they are unable to do so.

 

If you are 15 or under

  • Any passengers aged 15 or under must travel accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

 

If you are 15 or under and accompanied by an adult

  • The accompanying adult must have parental responsibility for the child or have a letter of authority from the person with parental responsibility

 

If you are 16 or 17

  • Any passengers age 16 or 17 must travel with a letter of authority to travel from the person with parental responsibility, and be prepared to present this when requested by a megabus.com company official or travel with the person with parental responsibility.
