Looking for some Halloween-inspired fun this October? Whether you fancy watching a scary movie in a creepy location, or donning your scariest fancy dress and partying all night, we’ve picked out our favourite Halloween events happening in UK cities this year. Some are great for students, others are perfect for families – but all of them promise loads of ghoulishly good fun. Plus, you can get to all of them with megabus, so take a look and get ready to scare yourself silly.

Watch a scary film in a cemetery in Bristol
There are loads of spooky film screenings happening as part of Bristol Film Festival, and they’re being shown in some pretty eerie locations across Bristol. Watch US at Arnos Vale Cemetery, The Silence of the Lambs at Averys Wine Cellars, and both Hotel Transylvania and Addams Family Values at Arnos Vale Cemetery. That’s right – a scary movie in a cemetery. Take a look at the fill line-up if you’re brave enough.

Scare skating in Manchester
Head to Manchester on the weekend before Halloween and the city is packed with things to do. But our pick of the bunch is the seriously spooky Skate Manchester running from 27 to 31 October. Rock up in your best Halloween outfit, and guests are invited to chase monsters on the ice... if they dare. 

Party at the Halloween Freakshow in Edinburgh
The Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh is going all-out for the Halloween Freakshow on 30 October. They're transforming the place into a harrowing hangout, with terrifying Purge visuals, creepy interactive performers - plus they've even got make-up artists on hand to get you looking the part. It all kicks off at 10pm and will take you through to the witching hour at 3am. 


Experience the Festival of The Dead in Cardiff
Looking for something to scare your socks off in Cardiff? Europe's biggest touring Halloween show arrives at The Great Hall on 13 October, featuring a mash-up of circus, clubbing and carnival sets. Expect giant skeleton puppets, carnival processions and circus performers - all performing to a blazing rock and metal soundtrack. 

Get spooked down in the dungeons of London
If you thought The London Dungeons couldn’t get much creepier, you were wrong. During Halloween, the spook factor turns up a notch at this famous London attraction with a special limited-run show that’s included with your ticket. This year, you're coming to face your demons, 1815 style. 


Scream your way around a rollercoaster in Leicester
Twinlakes Theme Park in Leicester becomes a Scream Park just in time for Halloween. There’s pumpkin carving, a witches’ wagon filled with treats and prizes for kids, and a special Street Theatre Group with amazing performances. Halloween gets going at the park from the 1 - 31 October, with the Xtreme Scream Park which is not for the kids, taking place from 6 - 31 October.
