London to Coventry

Arriving after your comfortable journey from London, the vibrant city of Coventry has much to offer.

A good starting point would be to discover the historic Cathedral Quarter. Here you’ll find the romantic ruins of the city’s medieval cathedral that was bombed during the war, as well as being able to explore the contemporary Sir Basil Spence’s New Cathedral - a Grade I listed building.

The Coventry Transport Museum is also a highlight of trips to the city. Learn about the part Coventry played in the transport industry and have a go on the 4D Land Speed Record Simulator.

A further highlight includes the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, located directly opposite the two cathedrals. This presents history from the medieval period right up to the present day, with a whole gallery dedicated to Lady Godiva. Entry into the museum is free.

Or maybe you fancy visiting BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. Guided tours are available and you can learn all about how the station broadcasts to the area.

Culture hunters will enjoy performances put on at one of the city’s theatres such as the Belgrade Theatre and the Albany Theatre; while heading to Fargo Village will immerse you in the city’s creative hub with its independent shops.
