Afternoon Tea Bus Tour in London with B Bakery
The trip to London
The B Bus Tour picks up from London Victoria Coach Station which is perfect as you can get there directly with us. We offer a number of services to London from destinations all around the UK 7 days a week, so you can just hop off our coach in arrivals and it’s only a short walk around to where the B Bus tour picks up in departures… easy! To see what times we have on offer for your next trip to London, just use our journey planner at the top of the page.
The bus
The bus tour takes places on a vintage Routemaster bus which is all decked out with pretty flowers and fairy lights and has a number of tables for two or four people on both floors. When you first get on you’ll be shown to your table by the friendly staff on board and the table will already be filled with delicious cakes and sandwiches just waiting to be eaten. Having afternoon tea whilst touring London might worry some people, especially those who tend to get queasy travelling! But don’t worry, you won’t food and cups flying all over the place - and it’s not as bumpy as you might think. Instead what you get is a quirky, comfortable and unique experience.
The food and drink
It’s safe to say we loved the food. For the savoury fans, you get small sandwiches and quiches and for those of you with a sweet tooth – we had cheesecake, cupcakes, macaroons and the most amazing lemon meringue tartlet. That’s one you definitely don’t want to miss! And if you can fit any more in, they will bring out warm fresh scones with clotted cream and jam which will definitely hit the spot! These were delicious, so make sure you leave a bit of room for them. If you don’t manage to fit it all in, then luckily you’ll get a box before the end so you can take your sweet treats with you in case you get peckish later. If you have any special requirements such as needing gluten free, vegetarian or halal, just let them know when you book as they can accommodate these requests.
So for the drinks… they have a small selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate on offer and if you prefer soft drinks, you can enjoy fresh orange juice or bottled water. You can order new drinks whenever you want them but just bear in mind that they don’t have a toilet on board and won’t be able to stop - so don’t drink too much!
The sights
So what will you see exactly on the tour? They go to all the main sights – Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and many more. It roughly takes about an hour and a half, but this will depend on the traffic.
If you’ve got your head in your food, it’s easy to miss the sights along the way so if you’re desperate to see what London has to offer – this might not be the tour for you. However, you do get some commentary along the way, so you can get your camera at the ready should you want to.
The price
You can hire out the entire bus should you want to for private parties but if you’re just going with a small group, prices range from £45 to £63 per person.
