Plans change – we get that. You can make changes to your bookings at any time, up to 24 hours before the date and time of your first journey.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. go to Change trip now (or use the menu link at the top of this page)
2. enter your order or reservation number and your email address
3. select the reservation you’d like to change and click Trade-in
4. follow the instructions to change your booking

Multiple traveller bookings

If your booking is for 2 or more people, any changes you make will cancel the original booking for all travellers.

So please remember to include the new journey details for all travellers when making your changes, even those that still want to travel on the same journey as originally booked.

Top tip - instead of changing the entire booking for all travellers, it may actually be cheaper if you only book a new trip for the people who need to travel at a different date or time.

What will it cost?

It costs £2.50 to change a booking online (£1.50 amendment fee and £1.00 re-booking fee). Changes made with an authorised megabus agency will cost £4.50 (£3.50 amendment fee and £1.00 re-booking fee).

If your new journey is more expensive than the original one, you will also need to pay the difference between the two fares.

Unfortunately we cannot give you a refund or credit if the new journey is less expensive than the original one.

Just like seats on a plane, all seats on are sold on a reservation basis, so you must travel at your specified time and date. For journeys within the UK, customers are required to be at their departure point at least 15 minutes before their selected journey is scheduled to depart. No refunds or credits will be given in cases where customers have missed the coach,but you can change your reservation on our website right up until 24 hours prior to travel.

If you missed your departure and you still wish to travel you will need to book another journey, you will need to go through the standard booking process by using our website or calling our sales line on +44 (0) 900 160 0900. This service is operated by Journey call Ltd. Calls cost 65p per minute network access and and call charges may apply. Please check with your telecoms provider.

At some locations, like London Victoria Coach Station, you may be able to pay for a walk-up fare on the day of travel from a member of staff.

Please make sure you give us a correct and valid email address at the time of booking. Please check your inbox for the Worldpay confirmation email and reservation email. If you’ve received both, your transaction was successful. If, however, you don’t receive either of these within an hour or so of your transaction, please email us at

We don’t mind what your luggage is packed in, and we only ask that it weighs no more than 20kg and is no bigger than a standard ‘large’ suitcase. The maximum size of a single bag is 200cm (width + height + depth).

Alternatively, you can take two or three bags, provided they don’t occupy more space than a single bag of these dimensions or exceed the maximum weight limit of 20kg once the luggage is combined.

You can also take a piece of small hand luggage on board with you, and it must either fit on your lap or under the seat in front of you. If you arrive for your journey with more luggage than one standard sized suitcase and one small piece of hand luggage, as detailed above, you may have items refused.

If you’re travelling between Glasgow and London, you may be charged £5 per piece for excess baggage. Fee may vary depending on the route and time of travel.

Passengers travelling on services are able to bring up to two pieces per passenger. is a ticketless service. After completing your payment, a booking confirmation page will display your reservation number(s). Your reservation number can also be found on your reservation confirmation email, which will be sent to the email address you supplied to us, and in yourtext message if you requested it. You’ll also receive a separate email from Worldpay, confirming your successful transaction.

You should make a note of your reservation number(s) for travelling, and we recommend that you print – or store on a mobile electronic device – a copy of your booking confirmation page or email, which includes details of your reservation number, for the day of travel.

You can bring cold food, cold drinks and hot drinks that have a lid on. For safety reasons, we can’t allow hot food on our coaches.
